My husband & I decided that our old desk had to be replaced especially since we have lots of guest that see our office space. So I saw this desk on the Office Depot website & absolutely fell in love. It was reasonably priced but, I knew I could get a deal so I looked on ebay & got a coupon for 20% off for just a buck. Then that Sunday I checked the ad & behold there the desk was on sale with the pedestal file for free! I knew it was meant for me! So I rushed down to purchase the desk & pedestal & my total came to be a little over $200 with taxes for both pieces. These pieces are really heavy for "engineered wood" so be sure you have someone to help you carry it in your office space. It took my husband a little over an hour to put the 2 pieces together & let me tell you she is a beauty! I love the nautical theme we have going since it is a "shore" collection. There are 3 shelves for storage on the top of the hutch, a slide out keyboard shelf, a cpu storage with a door & opening at the top for it to breathe, although our cpu gets really hot so we have to leave the door open to let it cool, & 1 sliding drawer on the right for extra storage. The pedestal file has 2 drawers & fits lots of hanging files on the bottom drawer just be careful that the files in the back don't get stuck in the notch because it's a little hard to get out when full. This desk is just fabulous! That Christopher Lowell sure knows how to design furniture!
