Lush Honey I Washed The Kids Solid Perfume: Yum! By marnm02 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I am a certified LUSH fanatic. I could probably single handedly keep this store in business even if no one else in the world ever shopped there.

Honey I Washed the Kids soap is my favorite product. I go through about a bar a month and have bars stockpiled in my bathroom cupboards. So, when I found out they were coming out with a new perfume in the same scent, I was thrilled.

The nearest store is two hours away, and I just couldn't wait until the next time I was in the area to get this, so I ordered online without ever seeing the product in person. I'm glad I ordered it, but I'm not as in love with it as I am the soap.

I like that solid perfume is more compact, environmentally friendly, and reasonably priced than traditional perfume. On the other hand, solid perfume is not nearly as strong and doesn't last as long as spray perfume. It makes this product disappointing, as I have to carry it with me and continuously re-apply, since the scent is gone so fast. I would have been happier if this product was a spray perfume.

It does smell great though. Almost identical to the soap, maybe just a touch sweeter. The soap and the perfume layered together make me smell just like a delicious chunk of hot, buttery toffee! Maybe not what everyone wants to smell like, but I love it!!

Yes, it definitely could stand to be longer lasting. And the limited edition spray perfume was out of my price range. I do love the scent, though.
