Lysol Disinfecting Wipes By April By April on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
I admit it. I jumped on the bandwagon. When all the hype first started about Lysol Disinfecting Wipes, among other similar products, I got my sample bottle. I opened the container, complete with an easy tear system like a diaper wipe container, and liked the scent. The first few wipes came out easily, but then started tearing more frequently as the wipes started dwindling. I found it easier to take the top of the container and just pull the wipes out that way. The wipes themselves are very thick and soft, which provides some durability. It takes a little elbow grease to wipe off stuck on grease and grime, as it would with a washcloth, but the wipes don't uphold as well as a washcloth. When wiping on a hard surface, using force, don't be surprised if the wipes feel like they are going to rip or tear. I have found the best use for these wipes it to quickly wipe off the stove or countertop, or even the bathroom sink, in between good cleanings. It is a nice feature for the wipes to disinfect, but using a disinfecting spray or dishwashing liquid would work just as well. Overall the concept of these wipes is great, but I think the packaging and durability still have some bugs that need to be worked out.
