Lysol is considered to be the #1 solution for toilet bowl cleaning. I have used it for a while, both regular and bleaching variety. Interestingly, the regular one did a considerably better job removing water stains and making the toilet bowl white. The one with bleaching required lots of scrubbing, and there would be still some yellowish spots left, so I had eventually stopped buying it. The regular Lysol cleaner worked fine for me. Like all good toilet cleaners, it not only cleans but also disinfects the bowl and kills germs. It is unscented; scented varieties are also available, but I have not used them.
The only disadvantage of this product was being more expensive than most. I tried different ones and ended up picking The Works - another brand that works just as well and costs less.

I like this product but like you say , you need to do some scrubbing to accomplish the best results. I have not tried the other brand. I'll have to check it out.
I also use this product. I find lysol to be one of the best toilet bowl cleaners available.
