M Audio Studiophile Dx4 By numero9 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

The M-Audio Studiophile DX4 monitoring speakers are a good addition to any home production studio. In any style music you are making , you want to the hear it through superior speakers that are made in some way for a production setting, in order to capture tricky frequencies. That said, finding a pair of monitors brand new for under $150 is difficult. However, M-Audio has delivered a solution with the Studiophile DX4, which provide a good entry-level quality for a small studio. The audio quality during playback can take a while to get used to at first use, and might even seem really “off” to one's ears. However, after using them for quite a while, I can adequately use them in conjunction with my monitoring headphones. I recommend the Studiophile DX4s for anyone who is looking to expand their studio, and isn't in a need of a big-bass heavy system for just casual listening.
