Mac Book Pro 17 Laptop

I am very pleased with my new Macbook pro 17" laptop but had to give 4 out of 5 as my previous Powerbook had a severe hardware failure.I was told I needed to replace the motherboard at the cost of $1,200 CAD.I therefore decided to buy a new laptop.I use my Mac laptop for my music recording exclusively. I am running Logic Pro and can see that this new laptop is quite a bit faster than the Powerbook which I had before.I am still a little miffed at having the other laptop die on me.I hadn't used it that much during the 2 years which I had it for.Not sure what caused the hardware failure.This new laptop is therefore being eye with some caution.However, I have been informed that its inners are completely changed from the previous model etc.

For my work, I use a PC so I can't say that I am a 'Mac person'.I therefore gave my experiene a lower level. I understand the program Logic Pro better than I understand the Mac OS in all honesty...
