Macadamia Nut Kisses

When my friends were getting ready to taketrip to Hawaii, I found out that Hershey's had recently come out with a new Kiss that had macadamia nuts in them. They were not being sold in the mainland, only in ht islands. I really wanted to try some because they sounded so good! I love chocolate covered macadamia nuts!

My friends found the kisses in a local grocery store in Maui and brought two packs home for me. She said they had a hard time finding them because they were so popular in the islands that everyone was sold out.

I was excited to try them, but the first kiss was a let down. It hardly had any nut in it at all. The second one was much better, the nut was a bit bigger and I could taste it well. The more I ate the kisses in the bag, the more I realized that it was a hit and miss when it came to the nut inside. About half of the kisses in the bag had just a tiny crumb of nut in it. The other half had about 1/4 piece of a whole macadamia nut.

Overall, I like the taste of the macadamia nut kisses. When I get a piece with a good amount of nut in it, I can taste both the nut and chocolate equally. I believe my friend said they were about $5.00 per bag. I don't think it is worth that much, but they were a nice special treat.
