Macally FM Cup iPod Transmitter and Charger
By Malcolm onCar iPod docks, chargers, gadgets and gizmos are flooding the market. How can a consumer know which product is best for them? Research and a little trial and error workes everytime. The Macally FM Cup iPod Transmitter and Charger is my latest gadget acquistion. How well did it do?
The Macally FM Cup iPod Transmitter and Charger is an iPod FM transmitter that allows me to access my iPod music in the comfort of my car. The Macally FM Cup iPod Transmitter and Charger rests comfortably in the cup holder of my vehicle and plugs into my 12 V (car lighter) jack for power. My 2nd generation iPod Nano fits right onto a dock provided and off I go listening to tunes in the car.
The Macally FM Cup iPod Transmitter and Charger really does work very well for an FM transmitter. The unit was priced a little higher than many on the market at nearly $60.00, but with iPod technology I have found you truly get what you pay for.
The Macally FM Cup iPod Transmitter and Charger is a pretty good product over all. I like how the unit sits in the cup holder and it works perfectly every time. I would buy this product again and I will recommend the Macally FM Cup iPod Transmitter and Charger to my friends and YOU!
PROS: Works flawlessly, Clear reception, Charges the iPod
CONS: Higher price, No controls on transmitter for iPod advance.

I was looking for something like this back in November before we went on a road trip. I ended up just settling for an iPod charger and going with CDs as I really didn't have enough time to see which one worked well. It sounds like you found a winner and I will be looking into this in the future.
We bought something like this from another brand and it really didn't measure up to what we expected. This one sounds much better then what we have.
This sounds like it actually works well. Thanks for the detailed information!
I think I am the last person on earth to not have an IPod yet, lmao!
This sounds like a great gift idea! I have two family member who own ipods and this would surely be high on their list for accessories to allow them to listen to the ipod music in their cars. What a cool idea!
thank you for the information on this. My husband has an older model car and no way to hook his Ipod into it. He is not sure how much longer he is keeping the car so he is trying to decide what he wants to do about changing out the radio or getting an adaptor of some kind. I will pass this info on to him.
Sounds like a great product. Technology does improve things sometimes. Thanks for the detailed information.
I had no idea they made docking stations for the car now:0) Welcome to planet earth right? Anyway, it really does not seem that expensive to me given the convenience of listening or charging your mp3 in your car...how convenient is that?
