Madonna Goes Soft On Something To Remember Cd By nightwing on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

This is a collection of some of Madonna's ballads from throughout her career, along with two new tracks.

A standout here is the new song, You'll See. It features a great and powerful vocal performance and good production from David Foster. The low point of the album is the other new song, One More Chance. It is an ok song, but far from special. It again features production from David Foster and amounts to basically a "Madonna goes unplugged" song.

A few of the songs here are tracks that have never before appeared on a Madonna album. These include This Used to be My Playground, I'll Remember, and I Want You.

Great old tracks include Rain, Crazy for You, and Live to Tell.

This isn't really a greatest hits, as some of these songs are old album cuts and others are new. It is probably a collection of Madonna's personal favorite ballads she has done along with her greatest ballad hits. It is a solid collection that displays her strength in this genre of music.
