Mae - The Everglow

The Everglow is a great pop/rock CD from Mae. The cool thing about this album is that it tells a story. It comes with a fantastic album lyrics/artwork booklet that you can follow along in, one page per song. In fact, a narrator in the first track tells you to do so. And it is a pretty long story, with a massive 15 tracks. The story is that of an almost magical adventure of a boy and a girl, their love, and their mistakes. A great voice, guitars, and the occasional piano all combine to make some very catchy songs. The title track, "The Everglow," is probably my favorite, even though I'm not quite sure what it means. But I do know that this is a true sensory experience.
