Mag Lite Flash Light By Georgia Sawhook on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

If you want a flashlight that does the job, then you need to get the MagLite. We have the 4 D Cell battery Mag Lite. It's very long and little heavier, but it really works great. We have not had to replace the batteries for a long time, and that's very important. What's so good about this MagLite is that it's sturdy and meets the particular need at the time.

If you need to get a very specific area lit up you can turn the switch located at the head of the light to give you a very clear concise spot light. If you need to look in a broader, wider area you turn the switch and it becomes a flood light. The distance that it shoots the light is amazing. We live with a huge dark field behind our house. On the other side is woods and a creek. And the light can penetrate into the woods with no problem. So if you were out somewhere and needed help. You could flash the light off and on and someone could see you from a decent distance. It's water and shock resistant, although I've never tried it out, but it's good to know.
