Magic Green Goop For Your Hair
By Candida Eittreim onMy hair periodically will get very dry and stressed. Some of it is due to the medications I take, and some of it due to the highlighting and colouring I have once a month or so. And summer itself just seems to grab all the moisture and shine out of anyones hair, if you are outdoors in 100+ heat everyday.
My hairdresser recommended a deep conditioning mask to be applied once or twice a month to help re-hydrate the hair shafts. So, after looking around I decided to give Davines Nou Nou Nourishing, replenishing mask with olive oil, a try. This looks like a thick pea soup. If you're into green like Froggy is, you'll be delighted. Otherwise, I'd hide the bottle and NOT put this mask on when hubby is snarking around. It might give the poor guy a heart attack:) Mine actually grabbed his chest when he came round the corner and saw me with this mask on LOL.
Having said that, I can tell you this stuff smells delicious and feels heavenly on your head and scalp. It is so easy to use. After washing your hair, towel dry it, and take a glop (a big bullet sized squeeze in your hand,) and work it into your hair and scalp. Let it sit for 15-20 minutes. For deeper conditioning, you can sit under a hair dryer on low-medium low to help it absorb even better. Then you simply rinse it out with warm water. Your hair, after your first treatment, will be noticeably smoother and silkier. Continued twice a month use will result in stronger shiner better textured hair.
Though it is pricey at $18.00 per bottle, a little goes a long way. I've had mine over a year and still have 2-3 more treatments before I buy more. I was easily spending 3x that on products that didn't work or last as long. This company has been around since 1983 when the Bollati family opened Davines in Parma Italy. They offer high quality products that share a respect for the sustainability of our planet and use natural ingredients.
If you have dry, brittle or simple dull lifeless hair, give Nou Nou a try. You can find them at many major salons or online at Amazon, drugstore.com or at http.store.luxuryparlor.com/davines-2.html

Sounds like a good hair product for my dry hairs. Thanks for recommendation.
Sounds very nice, my hair is dry and stressed, like me, I think I will be looking for this!!
Sounds like a great product. thanks for sharing.
I need to try this one. I recently bought a deep conditioner and it just is not doing the trick for me. It works ok, but not with the results I was expecting. And the price was higher than what you paid for this one.
This sounds divine! Olive oil, one of my favorite ingredients...thanks for the info, will have to look into this further.
This sounds so luxurious & nourishing-especially during these summer months!
