Magic The Gathering: Ice Age By Doraemon on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Ice Age is the eleventh Magic the Gathering set and was a large one at that featuring 383 cards. The set featured mechanics such as cumulative upkeep, cantrip and snow lands. As compared to today's large expansions, the set contained too many useless cards. It did however have a lot of reprint staples such as Dark Ritual, Giant Growth, Disenchant, Counterspell, Icy Manipulator and Swords to Plowshares. It also introduced useful cards such as Jester's Cap, Incinerate, Knights of Stromgald, Order of the Whiteshield, Necropotence, Zuran Orb, Icequake, Thermokarst, Brainstorm, Illusions of Grandeur and Demonic Consultation.

I lappreciated the set because of the size and diversity of the cards. It combined staple cards and new ones perfectly. It did however contain redundant cards such as Zuran Spellcaster and Fyndhorn Elves which were just reincarnations of older cards. As mentioned earlier I didn't appreciate the fact that the set contained far too many useless or limited cards.
