Make Your Own Custom T Shirts By balentine2 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Last Christmas, I decided to make my nieces and nephews t-shirts with their names on them. With the help of some designers from a forum I belong to I received some really cute designs to put on their shirts. Then I had to decide on what type of transfers to use. I chose these Avery Dark T-Shirt Transfers because of the Avery name and because I could use them on any color t-shirt

These transfers are very easy to use. You just get your design the size you want it and print it out. Using these transfer, flipping the design is not required like it is with other brands. Then you peel of the backing from the transfer. This is the only problem I have with these transfers. The backing can be difficult to remove and you must be careful to not tear the design.

Once the backing is removed, you cover the design with the included parchment paper and iron. When ironing is finished you let the design cool completely and then remove the parchment paper. Care of the shirts is very easy, just wash in cold water turned inside out and tumble dry on low.

I made several shirts with these transfers and they all still look very nice. If you would like to create your own designs give these Avery Dark T-Shirt Transfers a try. I think you'll be very satisfied.
