Make Your Own Invitations! By Chenault on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

After pricing invitations for my upcoming wedding I decided to save a couple hundred dollars and print my own invitations. I headed to my favorite store Ollie's Bargain Outlet to browe the aisles for a great deal on an invitation kit. I found the Gartner Studios invitation Kit for less than $5 comapred to $19.99. This is a stylish, cute and very affordable. In the kit I got: 50 invitations with ribbons, 50 envelopes, 50 response cards, 50 response card envelopes and a test sheet with instructions and wording examples.

These invitations are not only going to look great, considering they will be designed by me, but they are also going to save me a ton of money. I need to pick up another package because the list keeps growing, but when it is all said and done I will have around $30 in one hundred invitations, compared to $325 from a professional. I think I got a great deal and I will not need to invest much time or money in my wedding invitations thanks to Gartners Studios Invitation kit.

Lots of couples are going the homemade route these days. I like how personal it makes the whole event!
