Makes Cats Happy!

Trader Joe's Double Wide Cat Scratcher is one of the only things my cat will pay any attention to (other than food and bedcovers). It is basically a porous cardboard plank that lays flat on the ground. It comes with organic catnip to entice the cat into checking it out. My family has tried many different cat posts out, trying to get our cat to use them instead of the sofa, but to no avail. Yet, this simple thing works perfectly. I have a theory that if it is expensive and cool-looking, the cat will ignore it, but if it is plain and cheap, the cat will love it. Not only does it sharpen her claws, but it is also helps to keep her active in her middle age (my cat is about 5 and has started to put on some weight). It only costs about $5 or so, and it lasts for a long time. It is double-sided too, so it takes about a month and a half before my cat has worn it out. As is expected with many things from Trader Joe's, it is made from 30% recycled material!
