This monitor is so easy to use. You just plug it in and turn on one of the receivers. It comes with 2 receivers that can either run on batteries or electricity. I keep one plugged in in my room and another I power with batteries. This way I can clip it on if I go outside to do yard work or go in the garage to do laundry and not miss if my daughter wakes up. Other monitors we've used had a lot of interference, but we don't get any with this monitor. The reception is very clear but that can sometimes be a bad thing. If I turn the sound up too much, I can hear every breath and every twist and turn. I don't have a big house, so I'm not sure how far I need to go until this monitor stops working. But it's worked fine when I've left the house. I think it's a great monitor at a good price.

I think baby monitors are one of the greatest inventions for parents, I really do!! I know when I finally decide to start having kids this is going to be one of the first things on my list. I like the idea that you can easily clip it to your belt and have it around with your daily activities. :o)
I have this monitor and it does work really well, you're right if you turn it up enough (which isn't much) you can hear every breath and every twist
