This bike is awesome! It rides like a dream and it feels like it is not going to turn into a nightmare! Lets start with the construction. The Specialized Allez Sport is made from butted-Aluminum and has a carbon fiber fork for rigidty and to rid of some of the weight. This bike is an entry racing bike so the components on the Allez are not that great. It uses Tiagra shifting by Shimano and is powered by a Sugino crank with a Shimano 105 rear derailleur and a Tiagra front derailleur. The cassette has a standard 9 gears and the crank has a hefty 3 gears making the bike a 27-speed.

The brakes on the Allez are quick and responsive although I have had some trouble with the brake cables beoming loose.Speciallized always makes good bikes, and this is no exception to it. If you are a person who is thinking about starting to cycle a little more seriously, I would consider purchasing this bike. Mine is all white with black lettering.

Sharp looking bike. Hope the performance matches the looks. Coming from the era of 10-speeds, I have a hard time thinking how you need 27 except in real mountains, but if they all work smoothly, hey, that's great! Thanks for sharing!

The bike looks very nice, but def outta my price range. I don't bike fulll-time or anything, but I get out there acouple of times a month and fiddle around. YOu are def way better at this than me.
