I recently bought Mario Party 8 for the nintendo wii as a present for my little sister's 10th birthday. Let me tell you that she was excited once she got it.

Mario Party 8 is a board game just like monopoly except you play as your favorite nintedo character. The objective of this game is that you start out with certain amount of coins and you use them to buy stars. You compete with three other different characters and the player who earns the most stars wins. (Just like in monoploy the player who owns hotels, or has the most profit wins)

At first I thought this game was going to be the same as the rest of the mario party series, but this game has some new things, for example instead of just spending 20 coins to earn 1 star you own a hotel and depending on how much you invest your earn 1-3 stars.

What would have been cooler was if they made this game an acctual online game where you can play with others.

Overall this game is really fun, its good for all ages and great to play with the family. The gameplay is easy, the graphics are decent, and the sound quility is great.

I strongly recommend this for mario fans, and kids of all ages.
