Martial Arts Magazine For Kids By Mom2One on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
This is a great magazine for young children in martial arts. It is a fairly new magazine, it is called KONO.
It states it is geared towards kids into martial arts ages 5 to 12. My personal opinion is the perfect age for this magazine is more between 7 and 10.
My son loves looking through this magazine. It has puzzles and games, all with a martial arts theme. It talks about movies, like in the last issue it talked about Kung Fu Panda.
It also talks about martial arts and how to keep the kids interested in their sport.
It will also feature real life martial artist and have interviews with them. One of the latest articles was of the Lopez siblings. The Lopez is a sister and two brothers who are competing in this summer Olympics on the USA Tae Kwon Do team.
The cost of a subscription to this magazine is $14.99 for 10 issues.
I personally think it's a great magazine for any boy or girl that enjoys martial arts and the bonus is it also is helping to make sure they are keeping up on their reading. My son will go in his bedroom when this magazine comes and will read through the whole thing.

I wish that they had this when my son was younger! When he first started in martial arts, several years ago, he was a huge Bruce Lee fan...
This is wonderful! Finally children who are in Martial arts have their own magazine. This is such a great way for them to feel connected and maintain interest.
This really does sound perfect for kids in martial arts!
Reading is a great thing and this seems to capture his interest.
