Mass Effect
By SandwichBender onMass Effect is one of the most anticipated games of the year and that's saying a lot, given the how many great games 2007 has given us. It's an action-RPG from the creators of Knights of the Old Republic and its sequel. Does it live up to the hype? For the most part, yes.
The presentation - I'm talking visuals, audio, story, etc - is Mass Effect's strongest quality. It presents you with an amazing and beautiful world full of impressive looking characters that speak well-written dialogue. It also presents you with an engaging story.
The action part of Mass Effect isn't perfect, especially when compared to recent action titles, but it's fun and good enough to not feel tacked on. Every character has a lot to say, and it times it can bore you to tears, but you're able to skip all the dialogue, so that isn't much of a problem.
Mass Effect isn't a flawless game, but it's the best RPG available for Xbox 360.
