I don't know about anyone else but I will be the first to admit that I don't know much about lawns. I know that grass is green, weeds are green and dandilions are yellow and although I sometimes think they are pretty they aren't very good for your lawn.

I have been very lucky and my lawn has stayed pretty green and weed free until this year. I have no idea what happen over the winter but when the snow melted my lawn looked like a battlefield. I honestly think they were more weeds than grass! I was sick to my stomach, now what do I do. I don't have a clue what kind of weeds these are, when do I get rid of them and what do I use!

I decided to call around for a lawn service. I first called Chemlawn/TruGreen and Scotts. I had heard about both the these and asked them to come out and give me an estimate. Chemlawn said it would be $46 and application and I would need 6 of them, Scotts said it would be $56, same number of applications. Ok this is getting a little expensive, maybe I should just go to Lowes/Home Depot and try this on my own!

I then got a flyer in the mail from a company called Masters Green. I thought well won't hurt to get an estimate. They came out the same day and told me it would cost me $30 per application. I could either get 4 or 6 what ever I wanted. I asked about the company because I had never heard of them and he told me they had been in busy for 20 years in the Detroit area and where now branching out to West MIchigan. For $30 I decided to give them a chance.

This is what hey offer. They come out (I chose the 6 applications) and fertilize/weed your lawn as needed. it is 100% guaranteed. If I see a weed I can call 24 hours a day and they will be out the next day to get rid of the little sucker. After the application they leave me a detailed sheet on what they put down, what it is suppose to do and what I need to do, water/not water, cut/not cut. How much easier can it be.

They put the first application down and within 2 days I saw the weeds start to disappear. My lawn now looks like it has grass instead of weeds. I am really happy with the service so far and for $30 I think its worth it. If they put an application down and it rains and it wasn't suppose to, they will reapply at no charge.

I especially like it because I know it would be hard for me to keep it up, I have an emply lot on each side of me that is all weeds. Master Green says that is not a problem they will make sure those peskly little weeds don't ever get in my lawn!

I think it's a great investment and now I just sit back and watch me green grass grow!
