Masters Of The Universe: The Motion Picture By Feezle on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

When I was little, I was a huge fan of Masters of the Universe. I remember having fond memories of the live action movie released in 1987 as well. Some things are better left in the past. I recently purchased the DVD and I must say, I was extremely disappointed! This movie took everything that was awesome about He-Man and destroyed it, leaving in its wake a mess of awful special effects and what appeared to be rejected Star Wars props/sets. Frank Langella(Skeletor) had the only decent performance, and even that is debatable. Every single piece of Masters of the Universe was rendered unrecognizable. From Castle Greyskull to the Sorceress...it was all rubbish. This movie got a bare bones DVD treatment with no special features besides the trailer. I can't say that I'm surprised. Don't waste your time or hard earned cash on this one.
