This is a good movie and another one that is great for the whole family. It's about a little girl, Matilda. From birth she was special and unique. When she is an infant, still in diapers, she is sitting on the counter and has smeared her peas all over the counter. Then you see that she has actually written her name...and she's an infant! Her parents don't pay attention to her. Her dad is a used car crook of a salesman and her mom loves bingo. Her brother is just annoying and sort of a blob...just there not really adding or taking away from the world. She is just an adorable girl and dresses herself and you see her making herself pancakes and taking care of herself entirely on her own. Then one day she walks many blocks to the library and reads all the children's books and then starts looking for more and bigger books to read. She loves to read. The librarian has watched her for a long time and tells her that she can take books home so she does. Then one day her family pushes her over the edge and she realizes that she has magical powers, sort of....
