Matrix Quartz Metronome By digbybare on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I have had this metronome for several years now. It features two modes, metronome and pitch pipe. In metronome mode, it can produce clicks ranging in tempo from 40 bpm to 216 bpm in 2-3 bpm increments. The dial, in addition to the label for the bpm, it gives a more qualitative description, Largo, Larghetto Adagio, Andante, Moderato, Allegro, Presto, and Prestissimo. It can produce a standard click every beat, or it can be set to produce a sharper click every 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 beats. It also has a row of LEDs that swing back and forth, showing the beats.

In pitch pipe mode, each position on the dial corresponds to a note on three full octaves of the chromatic scale. This is neatly displayed with a little piano keyboard layout.

Overall, it's been very reliable, and does everything I need it for.
