Matsonic 8188E Motherboard Review

Matsonic 8188E is compatible for AMD Athlon XP, AMD Duron, and AMD Athlon processors. It is low-priced motherboard with decent features for its time. I have one computer on this motherboard, and it's now around 8 years old, if my estimate is right. It still functions pretty well and I get little problems, except with the system clock battery.

The system clock would go wrong, after shutting down the computer AND pulling the plug off. When I simply shut down the PC, leaving it plugged, it seems to retain the correct date and time. I tried installing a new battery, and it would be fine for a few days, but the problem would return.
