Maxwell Colors Cd R Discs Are So Pretty! By Demon_Buttercup on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

We go through a lot of recordable CDs in our home. My daughter is always making new music cds and it seems I always have a ton of photos to save. We usually just head up a few blocks to our local Walgreens and buy a 20 pack for 4.99. We've tried a few different brands, but found we tend to stick to Maxell Colors.

One of the things we like best about the Maxell CD-Rs is the fact that we rarely, if ever, encounter errors as we try to make a disc. We've tried a few other brands and there is one from Target that the last 10 or so discs in the pack would not close out when we made the discs, therefore we had to throw them away - which was both a waste of time and money.

My teenage daughter likes Maxell because of the colors they offer. She loves the multipacks that have designs on the front of the discs. She's pretty careless with them after she makes them, and a year later, they will still usually keep playing without any skips or anything even though they are covered with scratches. They hold 70 mb, so she can usually get 20-25 songs on one cd.

I know they can be purchases more cheaply if you look for larger quanitities, but for us, the 20 pack works out perfectly. They work great, last long, and look mighty pretty! ;)
