Maybelline Intense XXL very black mascara

I purchased the new Intense XXL Volume + Length Microfiber Waterproof Mascara #561 from Wal-Mart for $6.98.The products promises the most longest, thickest, intense black lashes.It is a 2-step application process.The first coat is a white base coat that is supposed to elongate the length of each lash,The second coat promises to build volume and color with no clumps or smudges.I was very disappointed with the product.The mascara tube contains 2 seperate brushes - one for the base and the other for the volume and color.The base coat worked well and did highlight all my lashes.The second coat did not increase the volume at all.It did not hold a curl.I applied 3 volume/color coats with no visible increase in lash length or volume.I did not experience any clumping or smudges.It was difficult to remove.I would not buy this particular product again.I have had better success with less expensive Maybelline mascara.
