Once upon a time, I decided to try a curling mascara. I thought having my lashes curl up would enhance my eyes more than regular ones. I chose Maybelline Sky High Curves because it was available in Brownish Black, which goes very well with my brown eyes. (It also comes in Soft Black and Very Black). My other reason was being familiar with the Maybelline brand, I had used other types of their mascara before and liked them well enough.
Sky High Curves is easy to apply, and the color I chose suited me very well. As to the curling effect, it turned out to be much less profound than I'd expected. Of course, you cannot make your eyelashes actually "curly," but since Maybelline promised "extreme length and curl" on the packaging, I thought there would be at least some noticeable bend. Instead, my lashes turned up just a bit when I had first applied the mascara, and the effect wore off throughout the day. I would still say this is a decent quality product; just do not expect a tremendous curling effect.

I tried this one some time ago and like you didn't find that it really 'curled', I've since tried the 3D lash which I really like though. Thanks for the info on this product though, overall it isn't too bad.
I never believed that a mascara would actually curl your eyelases either. I would always hope and then get let down like yourself. Sorry that you had the same experience.
