Maytag Washer Dryer By houseonthehill06 on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

I bought a Maytag thinking it would be one that lasted me for a long time. Less than 2 years of having it we already had to have over $400 worth of work put into it. First it leaked-that wasn't covered under the warranty. Then it didn't spin, not covered under the warranty. Furthermore the place that we bought it from wouldn't help us -we had to go directly to Maytag itself. Now half the time it doesn't empty out the water on the final spin-so we have to re-run a final spin inorder to get it to empty. The upsetting part about this is you purchase a product thinking it will last as long as your last set-which lasted us 13 years-to have to constantly wonder what is going to be next. I will not ever buy another Maytag set after my experience with this current set.

I'd read that Maytag had the worst repair record. That's why I'm buying Sears or whirlpol.
