McFarlane Sports Action FIgure, Derek Jeter

I have always like action figures and now that I have a son of my own I get to start buying them again.Of course they are for him, but sometimes he gives me an excuse for buying them.That is the case with many of the McFarlane Sports action Figures that we get.The newest one is this Derek Jeter action figure.McFarlane Toys makes some of the most realistic looking figures on the market.They have great detail and the figures really do look like their real life models.From the facial figures right down to the equipment and dirt on the uniform this piece really resembles Derek Jeter.The piece comes with a stand and peg so Jeter can stand at the plate while he is swinging the bat.He turns and the neck and waist and his arms are also movable.McFarlane figures probably arent the greatest fun for kids because their movements are rather limited.You cant really change his pose a great deal and that can be a downer.However, if you or your kids like sports than the McFarlane figures are great.These are sometimes sold in retail stores but they are often hard to find as the popular players sell out quickly.The players are released in different series so they do have a limited quantity and once they are gone they dont make more of the same player for quite some time if at all.If you can find these in a retail store they usually run between $9.99-11.99.Generally though you will have to buy them on the secondary market and Jeter sells anywhere from 10-20 bucks plus shipping.We luckily have a toy store that carries them and because the package was dented we got ours for only 8 dollars.This Derek Jeter figure is great for sports fans, especially of Jeter or the New York Yankees.They arent the best for playing with but the detail on these is incredible.
