McMenamins Edgefield is the perfect place!

My sister lives in Gresham, OR which is about ten minutes from McMenamins Edgefield Winery. This is a place where they don't just have wine but they also have a hotel that out of town guests can stay at, a pub, a resturant, and a spa.

We mostly use McMenamins as a "girls night out" but you can also use it as a couples retreat and take advantage of the spa or use it as a vacation for the whole family and take the kids on a tour of the haunted hotel!

Yes, haunted hotel. Rumor has it that McMenamins used to be an assain asylum. I am not sure if this is true because I fnd out anything on the history but as you walk through the hotel to the resturant, there are pictures of peole that would have been in this asylum.

The resturant is to die for. It's called the Black Rabbit. they serve the best food in town, anything from chicken to steak and the desserts are delicious.

For holidays like Easter and Christmas they have brunches but I personally don't think those are anything to rave about. Overall, I love going there with the girls or just with my husband. It's our home away from home.
