Medela Pump In Style Advanced Backpack By cemomster on - Updated Sep 18, 2011
I sure wish I would have splurged on this pump when I had my son, years ago. He never wanted to nurse and I just purchased a cheap manual pump that would not even give me a let down.
When I became pregnant with my daughter, 2 years ago, I started researching pumps immediatly. I knew I wanted to try to nurse again, but wanted a good pump in case she decided not to latch.
This pump is rather easy to use. I only needed about 20 min. to 1/2 hour reading the manual and then I was basically good to go on pumping. It did take a few tries to gage the right speed so the suction level was comfortable and enough milk was being pumped.
My daughter ended up, in the end being a champion nurser, but I still used my pump. I went back to work two days a week, and my pump went with me. Whether at work our out on the town, I could use my pump wherever I could find a door. The pump comes with and A/C Plug and a battery pack. The battery pack does take 8 AA batteries, but they for 3-7 pumps, depending on how long your sessions are. You can also purchase a car adapter to plug into your car.
This comes with milk storeage bottles, a little travel cooler and a reusable ice pack.
This pump is worth the money and its weight in gold!!!

I did splurge on this and it is sitting under my crib right now. I was unable to produce any milk. It is a really sore subject mentally with me. It is a very good pump. Thanks for sharing your experience. I also like my manual avent isis as well.
This sounds like an excellent pump. I like the travel cooler and ice pack concept.
