Medela Swing electric breast pump
By Tina Lehman onWhen looking for a breastpump to use at work, I wanted something small and portable. After having used a manual pump for my first baby, I also desired something electric.
Medela has long been the gold standard of breastpumps so I decided to try one.I purchased the Medela Swing and absolutely love it.It only pumps one breast at a time, but if you desire something discrete this is optimal. It is electric but is also powered by batteries so it is portable (I have used it in a car).It makes a slightly ironic mooing sound while it is running, but it is not loud and I have had phone conversations while pumping without the noise being questioned or distracting.
The breastpump comes with two six-ounce bottles.I have needed to purchase additional bottles, as I can pump more milk than this during a workday. It is relatively easy to clean. It comes with a carrying case, a bottle stand, and spare diaphragms.
At just under $150, this pump is a perfect medium between the cheaper manual pumps and the more expensive hospital-grade models.

I really wanted to get this one, but I got the pump in style instead because I didn't know there were smaller breast pumps. Next time around I am getting this one!
I like yor work, Always! WW-V:)- careful about pumping while driving. This could be a dangerous cituation like the cell-phone.LOL!
I never could master the breast feeding thing so I never had use for a pump but this one sounds like it worked well for you.
Sounds like a great pump, they didnt have the electric when I had mine. I am so jealoous of some of these new items,LOL.
Sounds perfect...small, portable, and works! I'll have to keep this on mind for when I need one. :-)
LOL! Ironic "mooing", looking back on my pumping days, you're right. That is a perfect way to describe the sound!
The mooing sound made me laugh. This sounds like a great pump, especially if you could talk on the phone and pump with noone knowing.
I bottle fed my kids but this sounds like a great pump. Something I would have used if I had chosen to breastfeed.
