Medicated calamine lotion is a pain and itch reliever. It is used for the relief from pain and itching due to: poison Ivy-Poison Sumac-insect bites Poison Oak & Minor skin irritation. I love this brand of calamine lotion because not only is it medicated but its consistency is thick enough to take care of the uncomfortable and annoying itch. Although this brand is not well known it is very inexpensive but it helps to relieve the itch which is it's purpose. I just love the fact that it's medicated and it's not watered down like other calamine lotions. Health pride is a very cheap brand but this medicated calamine lotion is really worth more. I've used it on my kids who always get insect bites here in Florida and it relieves their itch.
