I did not expect to see a new version of this nice animation series when I was still a kid. I am talking about Strawberry Shortcake. Although the present Strawberry Shortcake is presented akin to the modern times, the values one can learn from watching her adventures is still the same even when I watched this series many, many years ago.My daughter is also a big fan of this new Strawberry Shortcake. The DVD I purchased is the first of the animated series of Strawberry Shortcake, her sister Apple Dumpling and friends.

Meet Strawberry Shortcake is about her adventures to various fancy places and the people she have met along the way in pursuit of wonderful items for her little sister, Apple Dumpling's upcoming birthday celebration. She wants the birthday to be very special for her little sister.

The story has many values a child can pick up like being determined, helping others, friendliness and being a true friend.

This DVD cartoon runs from 45 minutes and a nice surprise is tucked inside.

I do recommend this cartoon series to children out there. It is wholesome, fun, and full of life's lessons to learn.
