Looking for an alternative to Materna prenatal vitamins, I found GNC's Mega MOM. After the birth of my son I decided to breastfeed him and my doctor suggested I keep taking a prenatal vitamin to ensure that not only I was getting ample nutrition but also my son. I thought I'd make use of our GNC gold card membership and see if they had a prenatal vitamin.

MEGA MOM is not only a multivitamin but is also contains minerals. I take two capsules a day, usually with a meal and lots of water. I hate swallowing pills and these pills a pretty big. They are a nice pastel pink though! 90 capsules come in the container which should last about a month and a half. I find that I have more energy and my nails are stronger.

Vitamins and Minerals include: Beta Carotene, Vitamin A, E, C, B1, B2, B6, B12 and D as well as Biotin, Folic Acid, Iron, Zinc, Copper and many more. When I don't have an opportunity to eat healthy, at least I know I am giving my body some extra vitamins and minerals.

NOTE: There is no starch, ;actose, wheat, soy, sugar, salt or gluten. It is also yeast free.
