For any car care enthusiast or anybody getting started in auto detailing, a clay bar is a definitley a product to be invested in. Meguiar's kit makes it easy to get started, since it includes the clay bar itself, their quick detail spray for lubricant, and cleaner wax to finish off the job. Clay-barring a car's paint surface removes all the dirt and contaminants that have embedded in the paint, and really gives you a smooth, clean base to start out your detail. I really like the Meguiar's kit because it includes everything you need to get the job done. It's not the easiest product to use. For the most part, you let the clay do the work, but for extremely contaminated paint surfaces it will take quite a few passes and can get tiring; the results are well worth it though.
