Melbourne Vampires

The Cants are a three piece Melbourne band. They are able to produce a unique garage rock/power pop sound that gives them the edge over many other small bands in the area. The music that they play isnt the most difficult and skilful. The songs are nice and simple, this works well with The Cants where as many other bands wouldnt be able to pull it off. The album is great to listen to, but may be found to be a bit repetitive for some people. The singer is a good old garage rock singer. But he is able to hold a decent note and his voice isnt too Australian. It is very versatile, with quick changes all over the place, long notes, small screams and sudden drops to a lower note. The lyrics in some of their songs arent the too difficult or technical. But this is what works for The Cants. I was unsure when I first got this album. But now, I cant stop listening to it. This is worth the money and will be favoured mostly by Australians
