Melodie Crittenden's self titled album is a fresh, ear opening sound for country music and its fans. Melodie Crittenden has a very strong and very authentic voice. This album is ten songs of pure country soul. Country songs are normally about life, love, God, and personal stories and this CD has it all. Each song has its own story, especially my favorites; "Never Underestimate a Bored Housewife." This song puts a creative look into the life of a housewife.

The album flow is a little like a rollercoaster from slow to fast pace songs, but the flow shows Melodie's spunk and style. You never forget who you are listening to with this album and it makes a very heavy impression. The song styles are very simple, and the emotion that Melodie attaches to them helps to make each song very catchy and memorable.
