So I guess that I can consider myself old-fashioned. I still ove giving and getting greeting cards. I think that if the right one is picked they can provoke wonderful memories for you. My birthday just passed and I went to dinner with one of my nearest and dearest friends. I think that they got me the cutes, to-the-point card in the store.
For some background information I have been friends with Jennifer for almost 15 years now. There has only been one point in our lives when we don't talk at least two to three times a week. We call ourself best buds, because you can have many best friends, but really only one best bud. I know we are dorky, but that's how we roll.
So, at my birthday dinner it comes to the gift opening time (my favorite part by the way...lol) and I open my card. She always finds the best cards so I was looking forward to it as much as I was the gift.
I opened the card and it said "I couldn't have found a better buddy than you. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" It immediately made me smile. It was perfect.I am not sure where she got it, but I am sure it was probably American Greetings store because that is her favorite store to get cards out. Check them out!

I have sent quite a few online cards from American Greetings but I don't think I have ever been in one of their stores. Sounds like you got yourself a great friend. :o) And opening presents is my favorite part too!
Awe...how sweet. I love sending and receiving greeting cards too. When I get greeting cards, they always put a smile on my face :)
I am such a card person!! What a special friend you have to have made your day with your card!
I still love getting & receiving greeting cards as well, e-cards just can't replace the traditional cards.
