Memorex Recordable CDs Not So Great
By Joan Young onAbout half of these CDs have failed when I tried to write to them, so they ended up not being such a great deal.
I got this spindle pack of 50 Memorex recordable CDs a few years ago for $.8.00 on sale. This was a good price.I expected good things from the Memorex brand. I didnt have any trouble with the first 10 or so.
But then about every other one couldnt be verified when I wrote to the disk, and then were unreadable, so there wasnt anything to do but toss them out. I still have a few left, but I think that when I need more, Ill get a different brand.
The spindle package itself is well designed and handy. As long as you remember to twist the cover it closes tightly and the rest of the pack wont spill. The spindle keeps the disks from sliding together and getting scratched.
However, they dont come with any covers or envelopes.I bought envelopes separately from Staples.
The specs are 700MB, 52x, and 80 min
