Mentos is a candy that is popular the world over. Its is a small oblate spheroid which has a hard outer layering and a chewy interior. The candy is currently made by Perfetti Van Melle Corporation and was first sold in The Netherlands in the 1950's. The candy commonlycomes wrapped in individual plastic containers or in foil rolls. This keeps the mints fresh and is ideal for sharing.

The Mentos commercials usually feature everyday people stuck in dillemas. After consuming some Mentos they come up with hilariously funny solutions. The slogan used by Mentos is "Mentos , the freshmaker."

I like the candy because it helps me freshen up when meeting up with someone. It has the ability to mask bad breath quickly. i also use it after eating meals especially oily ones. The menthol effect somehow counteracts the oiliness of foods.
