Mercury Montery Minivan By PrincessLuLu on - Updated Oct 15, 2011
I love my Monterey! Here's what I think is so great:
My first priority was finding a vehicle that exceeded safety expectations. This one does! It earned highest results in government crash tests. It features a canopy air bag system all around the inside.
I love the monitoring system. The dash features an electronic system to monitor oil life, tire pressure, fluids, battery life, fuel effiecency and more. It has been very helpful.
The seat configuration is very convenient. The middle section has two bucket seats--very nice. The third row folds down into the floor giving instant additional storage.
I think my favorite feature is the automatic sliding side panel doors on each side. These are controlled with buttons on the key fob. You can't beat the convenience these offer when your arms are full of shopping bags!
The only drawback I've found is the low fuel efficiency At 18 MPG, it can be expensive to drive!

Looks like you are really proud of your Monterey, glad for you.
I always said I would never drive a minivan, but they are making them so stylish these days should I ever have a busload of children I will have to look into this.
I didn't realize that the gas mileage wasn't too fabulous!
Automatic sliding doors sound heavenly, especially when your hands are full, which is all the time!
vans are sort of like suv's not great gas mileage
I love the monitoring system. I wish my car had one of those. How fast do those sliding doors close? With my luck I'd be in the middle of one when it closed LOL!
wow, and I thought MY mini van had poor gas mileage!
18 MPG, ouch. I can't afford the new car not to mention the gas.
Quite a lot consumption ...to me over all impressive car
