Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes By ExplosiveAmnesia on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes, released on the Nintendo Gamecube, is a remake of the original Metal Gear Solid. This remake includes improved graphics, re-recordings of many of the game's voice parts, and upgrades the gameplay with elements found in Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons Of Liberty.

The Twin Snakes is fundamentally the same game as the original. It includes the same locations, enemies and plot. However, the addition of gameplay elements from the sequel generally make the game seem easier than the original. The ability to go into first-person makes eliminating many of the guards much less of a hassle.

MGS's famed cutscenes have also been reworked. They are much more over-the-top in this version, including a number of Matrix-style special effects. Overall, the changes made are positive, and help this game to mesh better, visually and in gameplay, with its sequels.
