Metro 18 Piece Knife Block Set w/Pistol Grip Handles&Sharpener-This is a nice knife set that we got for Christmas. It contains 18 pieces including a knife sharpener, kitchen shears, eight steak knives, 7 inch cleaver, 8 inch chef's knife, 7 1/2" carving knife, 8 inch bread knife, 7 3/4" boning knife, 7 inch Santoku knife, 5 inch utility knife, a 3 inch paring knife and of course the wooden block that holds the knives.The Metro 18 Piece Knife Block Set w/Pistol Grip Handles&Sharpener is a handy little knife set. The knives seem sharp and they get the job done. The kitchen shears are very handy. It's also nice to see a knife set that comes with its own sharpener.

I am giving dishwasher friendliness and ability to hold edge 4's simply because I do not own a dishwasher. I am the dishwasher around here and as long as I am careful with the edges they are friendly to me! lol As for holding their edge they still seem sharp after 4 months.
