Microsoft In The Gaming Industry By George Costanza on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

Microsoft took a huge risk by creating the Xbox. Everyone knows that Microsoft doesn't even have their operating systems on par, how could they possibly create a video game console without having as many problems as Windows does? Well they did, to a certain extent. Xbox was a hit! Until this day, my Xbox still works; it is now 8 years old. There were some problems with it though, such as the laser having to be recalibrated every X amount of months in order to read CD's and games, the fact that the buyer needed to buy a DVD remote for $50 in order to watch DVD's, it could not read CD's or DVD's that were burned, the power cable was deemed faulty which caused house fires, but everything else was positive about it. Many games, many GOOD games were released and are still played today. Once Microsoft came out with XBOX 360, the XBOX became obsolete; no more games are being released for it, the only games that are still played are the ones that you bought before the XBOX 360.
