This is the best headset I have ever used. The headphones are of the highest quality and they sound as though you are in the music/video/game. The mic is of astounding quality as well, with no distortion or crackling. It is built very solidly and fits very well; snug, but not uncomfortably tight. Setup was a breeze and only took a few moments. Microsoft has really outdone themselves with sound and build quality. Though this is a wired headset, it is far more comfortable to use than the wireless LifeChats, which also have terrible sound and mic quality that was the impetus for me to buy this wired one. There are standard volume up and down controls, a mic cut off button, and a button for use with voip. I am not sure how well the last button works, as I do not have voip, but if the rest of the product is any indication, it works just fine, and then some.
