Microsoft Wireless Notebook Optical Mouse 3000 By theFlyingExecutive on - Updated Oct 15, 2011

The Microsoft Wireless Notebook Optical Mouse 3000 is a pleasant travelling companion for any notebook computer and a worthwhile investment. That's not to say that it's an investment, however. The 2-button and scrollwheel button mouse is a bargain for its reliability, simplicity, and compactness. I have yet to experience a connectivity or interference issuse in the months that I've owned it. It's fantastically simple to use, as plug-and-play as one could ask for (I use a notebook running Windows XP SP2). The mouse runs on a single AA battery, which needs replaced roughly every month. The USB dongle fits securely into a recessed groove on the bottom of the mouse, making for compact storage and transportation. Finally, the mouse is comfortable to use; its small footprint doesn't feel uncomfortable or cramped, even in larger hands and can be used ambidextrously. I highly recommend it.

This sounds like an ideal little mouse for laptops. And for people who mainly use desktops and find laptop navigation awkward. This is a very good buy, and a highly useful product.
