I dont normally buy gadgets because they usually dont work that well or they just sit in the drawer and are forgotten about. I saw this little jar opener on sale for $5.00, and thought about my mom with rhumatoid arthritis and how she struggles to open jars, so i bought this for her. She loves this jar opener and finds it really easy to use on the toughest sealed jars of all sizes, you can adjust the size with a simple turn of the knob, and it will clamp around the lid, and it claims to open every jar, and so far it has, everything from jam jars to pickle jars! I tried this jar opener myself and i love it, so i bought one for myself. Once you clamp the gadget to the lid, you turn the knob to fit the size of the lid securely, then twist the handle and pop goes the lid! Super easy, and no strenghth is needed at all! I have used mine to open up plastic caps on bottles of V8 juice, salsa jars and every other jar imaginable! It opens both the metal lids and plastic caps, like on the V8 juice bottle. The best gadget i have ever used, and such a great price! Good job Starfrit!!
